Price and market cap of the leading cryptocurrencies, with the origin of every figure in plain sight. Never a buy or sell recommendation.

How to read our crypto analyses

A cryptocurrency's price has no cash flow behind it to anchor it, so it moves mostly on liquidity and risk appetite. Interest rates and the strength of the dollar matter a lot: when money is expensive, the most speculative assets are usually the first to fall. Spot ETF flows, regulatory news and leverage add to that — a cascade of liquidations can move the price more in an hour than a whole week of news.

That is why every analysis in this section separates what is verified in a dated source from a hypothesis attributed to whoever proposes it. If several cryptocurrencies fall on the same day by similar amounts, a broad market move is more likely than something specific to one coin; when we compare, we only use figures from the same source and the same cut-off date.

Volatility is the norm, not the exception: a strong one-month rally does not confirm a trend. The full criteria are on the methodology page and technical terms in the glossary.
